PAE New Zealand to join Kā te Rama Switched On Group
From late June 2025, PAE NZ will transition to 100% New Zealand ownership, with the shareholding moving to the whānau and iwi-owned Kā te Rama Switched On Group.
Local ownership is a strategic move to grow our facilities and asset management services further nationally, while maintaining delivery of our longstanding mahi for kiwi clients.
The change in ownership will strengthen our capability by bringing together two organisations with complementary strengths. PAE NZ delivers large-scale commercial facilities and asset management services, along with our enduring private and public sector client base. Meanwhile, Kā te Rama Switched On Group brings extensive construction and residential-focused facilities management expertise to the partnership, with clients spanning community housing, education, and retail.

It’s safe to say, we are a company 100% focused on providing the best-in-the-business facilities maintenance and management services within New Zealand.
Established in 1991, we enjoy the autonomy of New Zealand-based leadership with the benefits that come with being aligned with two globally successful companies, PAE LLC and Stantec Inc. With their ownership and backing we’re able to leverage global resources and technology to provide an even better service offering.
Although we may be the second largest Facilities Management company in New Zealand, we believe we come first place in terms of customer care and retention! One of our first contracts was with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), nearly thirty years later we still have a strong relationship with them.
We supply services to both public and private sector customers right across industry. From a single site through to a national property portfolio, we’ve developed the business to provide services that support New Zealand’s built assets, as well as providing specialised services including logistics and supply chain management.
We’re nothing without the people who’ve built the company, joining as employees or subcontractors over the years. We’re now 5,500 people working across 3,500 buildings, still honouring the track record of the people who have come before.
